Throughout her time in the spotlight, the year-old has been open about her anger issues; battle with depression; and tumultuous relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Gary Shirley, who is the father of Leah, her first child.

Since splitting from Shirley, Portwood's relationship with her ex has become much more complicated. Portwood believes that Kristina doesn't take good care of Leah and feels that she caused a rift between the mother-daughter duo.

She wrote in an Instagram post, "She's an opportunist who puts pictures of my daughter on her Instagram for clicks. I feel bad for her personally. When asked what her "expectations" were with the letter, she admitted: "I'm scared on her phone I'm blocked.

After she shared her plans to send the video to Leah's father Gary Shirley, Amber became emotional and broke down in tears. Later in the episode, Leah ended up watching her mother's apology video with Gary , Leah told her father that she wasn't ready to accept Amber's apology after the Teen Mom OG star slammed her stepmother Kristina. While Gary and Kristina explained that Amber's mistakes shouldn't define their relationship, the year-old insisted: "I can't love somebody who tries to hurt other people.

Back in August, Amber told The Sun that she has reconciled with Gary and Kristina after she accused them of not helping mend her relationship with Leah. Amber went on to reveal that she wrote Leah a letter, begging for a better relationship. She said she hopes to record herself reading the letter, but is afraid Leah may have blocked her number and will never see it. My relationship with Leah has changed a lot.
